Wagamama's Preview Evening

A few weeks ago I was invited along to a media preview event to celebrate the launch of Wagamama's new summer menu. Being a greedy pig, I couldn't resist the promise of some foodie treats.

I normally don't bother with these kinds of events but the PR approach for this one was friendly and there was no pre-requiste to blog about my experience. The only condition was that we were asked not to share the names of any of the new dishes.

The event was held in the Brighton branch of Wagamamas, and they'd set up a little area at the back of the restaurant for us all to sit - complete with complimentary wine. So kind!

After a brief introduction to the menu from the head chef, we were presented with a selection of new dishes to try. The standouts for me were two varieties of summer rolls (shown in the top left photo) - I could have happily just eaten those all evening - and a delicious spicy beef served in a lettuce leaves (top right photo).

There were a couple of dishes that weren't to my taste as they contained seaweed, and I'll be interested to know how well they fare once the new menu is released.

All in all, a really nice evening and needless to say I left the restaurant full to bursting.

A big thank you to the team at Wagamama's Brighton for putting on the event and for inviting me.
